Privacy policy
Updated 16 October 2026.
This policy explains what personal information IvI SEO collects through iviseo.co.uk, why, who it is shared with and how long it is kept.
Who we are
IvI SEO is the trading name of IvI SEO Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 14354852). We are the controller of the personal information described here. Contact: jack@iviseo.co.uk.
Enquiries
When you contact us by WhatsApp or email, we receive your name, contact details and whatever you choose to tell us. We use them to reply and, if you go ahead, to provide our services. WhatsApp messages are carried by WhatsApp (Meta) under its own privacy policy. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in answering enquiries, and taking steps at your request before a contract.
Google Maps rank checker
When you use the checker at iviseo.co.uk/tools/ we collect the search term and the town or postcode you type, the business you select (public information from its Google Business Profile) and the scan results. We use them to run your scan and show your report. The town or postcode you type is sent to postcodes.io to find its map coordinates. Google Maps searches are run through DataForSEO. To apply daily limits on free use we store a one-way, salted code made from your IP address and the date. We do not store your IP address itself. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in providing the free tool and preventing misuse, and the contract when you buy a report.
Payments
Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details. Stripe tells us your email address, the amount and whether payment succeeded. We use this to unlock your report, handle refunds and keep accounting records, and we receive an email notification of each purchase with your email address and report link. Stripe sends your receipt. Lawful basis: performing our contract with you, and our legal obligation to keep accounting records.
Analytics and advertising measurement
Only if you accept, we use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, and on the rank checker pages Google Ads conversion measurement to see which of our ads lead to purchases. Ad personalisation is turned off. If you reject, these tags do not load. Lawful basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. Full details are on our Analytics & cookies page.
Maps and hosting
Report maps load map images from OpenStreetMap, which receives your IP address to deliver them. The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes technical information such as IP addresses and browser details to deliver and protect the site.
Who we share information with
We share information only with the service providers named above, who process it for us: Cloudflare (hosting and database), Stripe (payments), WhatsApp (messages you send us), DataForSEO (Google search data), postcodes.io (location lookup, which receives only the place you type), OpenStreetMap (map images) and Google (analytics and ad measurement, only with your consent). We do not sell your information. We may disclose information if the law requires it.
International transfers
Some of these providers process information outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, they rely on safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Addendum.
How long we keep it
Enquiries: for as long as we need to deal with them and any work that follows, and no longer than two years after our last contact unless you become a client. Free scans: up to 12 months, so your report link keeps working. Paid reports and payment records: six years, as UK accounting rules require. Daily usage counters: 30 days.
Security
Information is sent over encrypted connections and held with the providers above. Access is limited to the people who need it to run IvI SEO.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and ask for it in a portable format. Where we rely on consent you can withdraw it at any time. Email jack@iviseo.co.uk. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
We will update this page if how we handle information changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. See also our terms of service.
